This mother-daughter team brings innovative ideas and a relentless passion to the forefront, striving to revolutionize and enhance the early education landscape.
​Jamie Putnam, a speech-language pathologist specializing in child development and early intervention, possesses a robust toolkit of evidence-based strategies to address each child's specific needs. Her professional background encompasses 35 years of directing a pediatric therapy clinic, as well as providing consultative services and training to preschool directors and staff. Her professional expertise, coupled with her personal experience as a mother to three and grandmother to one, ensures a holistic and nurturing approach. Jamie leads a team of onsite developmental specialists, including pediatric SLPs and OTs and coordinates developmental screenings.
​Kelsea Kosarek holds a degree in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University, with specialized study in child development, behavior, psychology, and the impact of cultural influences on learning. Her extensive experience as a camp counselor, Pre-K teacher, and full-time nanny has further refined her skills as a child specialist. Kelsea serves as Assistant Director of our programming.

We are pleased to welcome Debra Wissman as our Director, bringing 17 years of proven leadership at St. Mark Children's Day Out. Her qualifications include a BA in Theology from Texas Lutheran University and advanced coursework in Counseling and Guidance at Texas State University. Debra's extensive experience in both preschool and youth ministry, notably at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, underscores her commitment to children's well-being. Her dedication to serving our community is palpable, and she approaches each day with joy. Debra is a proud wife to Marc and mother of three sons, with two canine companions completing their family.
Our Mission
Capital Area Child Development Center's mission is to provide comprehensive developmental support through regular screenings and collaborative partnerships with preschool staff, creating individualized programs that promote developmental milestones and overall well-being.for every child.
